Quantity:

A Semillon-based blend with lesser portions of Muscat, Gewurztramineer and Pinot Gris. The grapes were crushed and underwent cold fermentation in stainless steel tanks prior to blending and early bottling.
It is a lively and fresh, yet complex, white wine. Finely structured lemon tinged Semillon provides a wonderful backbone to support the soft floral aromatics of Muscat, entwined with the delicate spice of Gewürztraminer. Pinot Gris introduces texture and mouthfeel to complete a wonderfully flavoursome wine.

Fruit from no more than a dozen small, old vineyards is selected to create this wine each year, the oldest planted in 1885. Three premium estate owned, low-yielding vineyards met the Stonewell standard to be included into this vintage. All three vineyards; Obbietivo, Carey and Simar are located in the southern part of the Barossa.
This limited release flagship winefrom Peter Lehmann. Old vine Barossa Shiraz grapes were fermented on their skins for two weeks prior to pressing off through a small batch basket press. The wine was then aged in French oak hogsheads for 12 months prior to bottling, and was further aged in the cellars before release.
There are aromas of dark, plummy fruit and a touch of chocolate and aniseed. The palate is richly structured with fine tannins and a long, persistent finish. The wine shows distinct flavours of black fruits, dark plums, liquorice, dark chocolate with hints of black pepper.

2014 Peter Lehmann Layers Red 14.5%

Price: 63.00

Quantity:

A blend of Shiraz, Mourvedre, Grenache and Tempranillo grapes all sourced from Barossa Valley vineyards. Each variety is individually fermented to dryness on skins then matured in old French and American oak for six months prior to bottling.
The colour is vibrant red with a burst of dark cherry and spice on the bouquet leading to a softly textured finish. Shiraz delivers fruit depth and structure, while the Tempranillo is firm and savoury. Mourvedre brings a wild earthiness and all are bound together by the aromatic and spicy nature of Grenache which softens the palate.
