A sumptuous blend of rich red-berry flavours of Grenache and spicy, opulent Shiraz put together for us by Tim Adams, a man who knows a thing or two about these varieties. Aged for 12 months in oak, then left to mature in bottle, this has developed into a great bottle of wine. Rich and flavoursome, with great fruit and spice characters and a rich, full finish, this is certainly one for the barbecue!0
A rich and flavoursome red specially made for us by one of the Clare Valley's top winemakers, a man with a very firm handshake! Twelve months in oak and several years in bottle have seen it develop into a wine that is drinking beautifully now, while it still cell well for a few more years yet. Great Value.10
"El Gordo means 'the fat one' - add big, dense, thick-set, rough-hewn to 'fat', and I'll drink to that. Durif is a beast in any case, rarely tamed, but these guys have just about managed it - the tannic chunkiness well matched by rich black plum syrup, herbs, eucalyptus and mint" Oz Clarke (Oz Clarke Wine Buying Guide)A big, rich, delicious blockbuster from Central Victoria that shows why we love this variety so much. A great winter wine which is great with steak, casseroles or spicy vegaetarian dishes.0
Aussie chardonnay is a lot more subtle than in the days of big, over-oaked blockbusters. This is a very modern style - tropical fruit abounds, but in a gentle way and by no means overpowering with just a subtle hint of oak and great balance.Great wine - great price!0
A delicious Verdelho from one of the McLaren Vale's top wineries. Drinking beautifully now, with flavours of honeysckle, lemon grass and guava swirling around. 0
