Attractive light green/gold colour leads to an appealing aroma of freshly cut white peaches. It has a beautiful soft depth of fruit on the middle palate and finishes clean and dry. A delightful example of a youthful, fruit-driven, unwooded style of Chardonnay from a classic white wine vintage. A wine to be enjoyed over the next 2-3 years.
This Chardonnay displays an excellent light medium colour with a hint of green and an aroma that is bright with hints of honey. The Architect is not overtly fruity and its time on lees and in old barrels for around 6 months has given a subtle elegant fruit character with fine texture.
AUSTRALIAN CHARDONNAY TROPHY and GOLD MEDAL IWC 2016The grapes were all hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed, and fermented in French oak barriques, of which one third were new. The wine spent eight months in barrel with gentle stirring as required, then a further two months in tank on lees prior to bottling. An intensely aromatic nose that shows lemon peel, white blossom, wet stone and a captivating struck match note. Thrilling natural acidity courses through the palate with concentrated lemon barley, grapefruit and biscuit elements contributing weight to the body. There is intensity but also plenty of texture and verve, as well as a long finish
An elegant, refined and delicate Chardonnay that is also suprisingly voluputous. The nose shows classic Yarra Valley characters of lemon sorbet, white peach and nectarine underpinned with notes of marzipan and hazelnut. Crisp acidity on the back palateensures a refreshing, clean finish.
The Omrah Chardonnay is sourced mainly from our own vineyards of Rocky Horror, Crystal Brook and Rosetta with a dash from the Franklin and Pemberton regions to produce a predominant Great Southern unwooded Chardonnay.

91 points James Halliday Wine Companion"Estate-grown and hand-picked. A deliciously fragrant and lively pinot, red cherry and plum disputing primacy; does not aspire to greatness, just putting itself first and foremost for tonight's enjoyment - or for the next 2-3 years."A complex bouquet of freshly cut white peach, orange zest, grapefruit pith with hints of fresh ginger and notes of candle wax. Stone fruit and grapefruit on the palate are complemented by exotic star anise. Tight and crisp initially, the fine flavours come together on the long finish.
