Hyatt International Riesling Awards Canberra October 2006TROPHY Best Riesling in ShowTROPHY Best Current Vintage RieslingSILVER Medal International WINE Challenge 2007 "If you want to experience the pure, crystalline nature of Australian Riesling, Tim Adams does it as well as any. His wine is full, but dry and austere, minerally dry flecked with lemon sherbet, green apple core and lime zest. Chill it down. Love it." Oz Clarke (Oz Clarke Wine Buying Guide 2008)The use of only the very best 500 litres per tonne of grapes has resulted in this wine being very intensely flavoured and aromatic. The wine has very lifted riesling character with citrus aromatics of lime and lemon. The palate is seamless with moderate viscosity and brisk acid finish. Use as an aperitif or with any seafood. Riesling wines from Clare Valley are most enjoyable when young and zesty, or left to mature beyond five years of age. This wine has been sealed with screw cap to ensure its freshness and authenticity.*** This is a 6 bottle case - to make up the minimum order of 12 bottles, you will need to add another case of wine (6s or 12s) to your order.***10
Multi-Trophy Winning Wine including Best Value White Wine in the 2009 International Wine ChallengeWinner Best Australian Riesling Trophy IWC 2009Winner Clare Valley White Trophy IWC 2009A wonderful wine and just 11.5% alcohol as well!"Clean, green and complex. Lime and tropical fruit, with a dry apple core, and notes of oatmeal. Lots of fresh acidity. Palate has a nice pleasing roundness, with quite a long finish."The World's Best Wines 2009 0
The elegant bouque features beautiful aromas of lime and lilac, which lead into a palate that is crisp, full with firm flavours of lime and citrus with great length. The finish is firm and tight, with good length. A seriously good food wine. Only 44 cases produced0
"Light straw-green; tight, fine lime and apple blossom aromas, moving in to slate and mineral on the palate; long, fine finish; still very youthful." 94 points. James Halliday's Australian Wine Companion.A wonderful wine. A few year's cellaring has really brought out the wonderful Eden Valley "steeliness" and lime and mineral flavours. Will improve further over through to 2013.0
Bright, pale lemon in colour with strong tinges of green. On the nose the wine is invitingly aromatic with fresh, florals backed up by clean orange and lime zest characters and intriguing spiciness. There are fresh, crisp lime and lemon juice flavours together with a minerally tang that really wakes up the tastebuds. The fruit fills the mouth leading into a finish that is clean and refreshing with excellent flavour persistence.0
The fruit for this Riesling comes from a single vineyard perched up on the western boundary of the Clare Valley at an altitude of some 500 metres above sea level. It has been a regular Gold Medal winner at the Adelaide Wine Show and is now showing the benefits of a few years in bottle. Delicious.10
On the palate, there is a brightness and youthful tang that is rare in young Polish Hill Rieslings. As ever, there is intense, pristine lime juice flavour made more complex by slatey, minerally characters all compressed and coiled by the wine's tightness of structure. There's characteristic finesse, power and a steely quality before the taut natural acidity highlights its lingering, dry finish. While the 2009 Polish Hill should age as well as other vintages, it may provide more joy in its youth. Enjoy now or cellar 6-15 years0
