Brilliant deep purple in appearance. There are strong berry and vanilla spice characters on the nose.
The palate is full and rich, typical of Water Wheel wines, with noticeable berry and liquorice flavours. The wine has excellent length with a long and persistent finish balanced with fine, chalky tannins.

The 2007 Memsie red is a vivid ruby colour. The nose exhibits black currant and raspberry aromas. On the palate there are rich, dark berry flavours highlighted by some savoury spice with aniseed characters and smooth chalky tannins.
The wine is superbly balanced and has generous length complimented by a lingering finish.

Lemon gold in colour with bright clarity. On the nose there are obvious stone fruit characters with some subtle cashew and vanilla aromas also showing. The palate is complex with peach and pear flavours apparent.
There is a smooth and creamy mid palate balanced with some integrated oak use followed by a clean and persistent finish.
Drink between now and 2011.

Water Wheel Vineyards

The original Water Wheel Vineyard was planted in 1970. In 1989 the Cumming family purchased the winery and surrounding 20 acres of vines.
Water Wheel Vineyards is owned by the Cumming family who have farmed in the Bendigo region for fifty years. Ron and Peter Cumming have a strong background in horticulture and place a strong emphasis on vineyard management.
At the winery the emphasis is on producing high quality, fruit driven wines with strong varietal definition and length on the palate. Since 1989 three new vineyards have been planted at Bridgewater - on - Loddon to help enhance the complexity and improve the overall wine quality. Total plantings now exceed 300 acres.
