Arguably Australia’s premier Rhone-style red, Nine Popes started out as a tribute to the Chateauneufs that Charlie enjoyed and has gone on to surpass many of them. A Grenache-based wine with some Shiraz and Mourvedre, it has wonderful flavours of blackberries and plums, good acidity, fine tannins and a silky finish.

Charles Melton Shiraz is not one of those harsh tannin infested Barossa Shiraz, so much loved by U.S. Wine critics, rather a fragrant, delicious red and black fruits delight with great intensity and length. Charlie makes Shiraz that can be enjoyed noe or which can be cellared confidently for over 10 years.
