McLean's Farm

THE STORY
Bob McLean is the man who made Barossa Valley winery St. Hallett famous.
Since the takeover of St. Hallett by brewing giant Lion Nathan, Bob has been quietly working on his new project based around his family's property situated right on the border of the Barossa and Eden Valleys winegrowing regions. Here he has planted Reisling, Shiraz, Grenache and Mourvedre
Initially, he purchased grapes from Barossa growers he had known over the years: his first releases won Gold and Silver medals in the International WINE Challenge.

2004 saw the release of the McLean's Farm Shiraz Cabernet, sourced from a single vineyard, whose special position produces grapes of exceptional richness. It was rated at 41/2 Stars (92points) in James Halliday's Wine Guide.

2005 saw the first release of the Eden Valley Riesling which quickly sold out. The 2006 McLean's Farm Eden Valley Riesling was awarded Five Stars (94 points) in the same James Hallday Guide, with McLean's Farm earning a Five Star rating.

Things at McLean's Farm are beginning to move ahead quite rapidly!
