Merlesco combines fruit from their two McLaren Vale vineyards. The McMurtrie Road Vineyard on the valley floor enjoys sunny days and cooling evening breezes from the nearby ocean. The Angel Gully Vineyard is the highest vineyard in McLaren Vale and has a long, slow-growing season with cool nights and warm days on shale stone soil.
The fruit is picked at night to maximise freshness and spends just four months in old oak barrels to keep the fruit flavours fresh and young. This is a wine that is rich, soft, and full of juicy fruit.
